Alejandro Cote

Guitarist



Praised by the critics for his “charming interpretation” and “flawless sound” (Amigoe, 2004), guitarist Alejandro Cote enjoys an active international career, both as a soloist and in collaboration with chamber ensembles. Recent performances were held at the Goethe Institute in New York, and at La Belle Alliance, in Curaçao (the Netherlands Antilles). Highlights of the upcoming season include appearances at Carnegie Hall’s Weill Recital Hall and at the Cas di Cultura in Aruba.

Mr. Cote has worked with some of the world’s leading musicians, including Manuel Barrueco, David Starobin, Roberto Sierra and Paul O’Dette. He teaches at the Usdan Center for the Creative and Performing Arts, and is on the faculty of the Bloomingdale School of Music in New York.  After receiving a bachelor of music from the Peabody Conservatory, Mr. Cote completed his masters at the Manhattan School of Music, studying with David Leisner.
